Layered hairstyles are perfect for wavy hair as they encourage the hair to move, thus showing off texture and movement. Avoid one length hair cuts with no layers at all, as the waves can be left flat and lacklustre.
Choppy layers work better than blunt heavy layers, as the softness throughout the ends also encourage movement and body. Don't be afraid to take the layers short either as the hair will ooze volume and bounce.
Medium to long styles are best for keeping waves to their maximum wavy potential, as short styles tend to lose the shape of the waves and the hair can look quite puffy and unkempt, unless you style daily.
Side fringes are easier to manage than full straight fringes, and look great with waves as they flow into the shape of the rest of the hair cut.
