Maintenance
Will it be a High or Low maintenance colour?
When choosing a hair colour you should consider a few of these things, to ensure the practicality of your hair colour is suitable for you,
Including:
•How often will you be having the roots re-coloured?
•Do you want to go a lot lighter or darker than your natural colour?
•Do you want the colour done as just a one off and won't be having a touch up every 5-6 weeks?
•Do you want an all over colour or high/low lights?
High Maintenance Colours:Colours which are more than 3 shades lighter or darker than your natural colour, as your roots will show through more obviously Full head permanent colours as your roots will grow through like a stripe down your parting, and may need colouring every 4 weeks Bright reds as they can fade quickly and need toning every couple of weeks to look fresh Fashion colours which need pre-lightening first such as blue, pink etc, as these colours can need topping up every 3-4 washes Bleach highlights or full head bleach, as even the light natural blondes roots can look dark next to the lightness of bleach Chunky sliced highlights |

Low Maintenance Colours:Natural looking fine highlights Colours only 1-2 shades lighter or darker than your natural colour Flashes or weaves of colour under the top section Semi permanent colours, as these fade out naturally Sun-kissed highlights scattered throughout your hair |
